WHAT IS AN ATHENS MAIN STREET BRAND AMBASSADOR? 

An Athens Main Street Brand Ambassador is someone who represents downtown Athens well through their photos, videos, and blogs on social media. It’s someone who explores, seeks adventure, captures the beauty of downtown Athens, and shares it with the rest of us. It’s someone who ultimately encourages others to go out and explore Athens for themselves.

We’re looking for a team of people from Limestone County to be our inaugural Athens Main Street Brand Ambassadors. We want to feature your amazing talent, so we’re looking for people who are exploring and posting about downtown Athens’ outdoors, attractions, festivals, dining, and shopping. As an Athens Main Street Brand Ambassador, you’ll receive:

  • Downtown Athens swag (t-shirt, cap, etc.)
  • Featured on our website landing page for Athens Main Street Brand Ambassadors
  • Featured on our social media platforms (we’ll tag you on social to introduce you to our followers)
  • Featured on our blog
  • You’ll also be able to use the title Athens Main Street Brand Ambassador on your social accounts and website.

Our goal for the Athens Main Street Brand Ambassador program is to find people who are passionate about the downtown Athens region and are posting their adventures on social media or a blog. We want to highlight your amazing talent to further promote our community.

HOW TO BECOME AN AMBASSADOR

What you’ll be required to do as an Athens Main Street Brand Ambassador:

  • Fill out the application
  • Live in Limestone County
  • Follow us on all social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok)
  • Use the #athensalmainstreet hashtag on your posts
  • Tag Athens Main Street in your posts
  • Write blog posts
  • Create content to use on all platforms
  • Need to post regularly about downtown Athens (7-10 posts representing our brand per month)
  • Share our content (at least 2 per week)
  • Be willing to take on assignments/covering certain festivals, attractions, restaurants, etc.
  • Complete the social media professionalism onboarding class
  • List that you’re an Athens Main Street Brand Ambassador in your profiles and tag us
  • Wear your swag when possible
