Athens Main Street has released its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting another year of growth and community impact. In 2025, we saw the addition of 6 new businesses to our historic downtown, bolstering local commerce and economic vitality.

Investments in the district totaled $161,100 in public funds and an impressive $1,233,500 million in private investment, fueling development and preservation efforts.

Most importantly, our success would not be possible without the dedication of our community—volunteers contributed more than 1,000 hours to events, beautification, and programming that make downtown Athens a vibrant destination.
