The Athens Main Street Board of Directors approved a new mission statement for the non-profit organization at their February board meeting.
It states, “The mission of Athens Main Street is to enhance downtown vibrancy, preserve its historic charm, empower its community of business owners, and foster a center of activity for the community.”
Athens Main Street Executive Director Tere Richardson released the following statement regarding this new mission statement.
“Our new mission statement reflects Athens Main Street’s priorities,” Richardson said. “It gives us a guide by which we measure our decisions, activities, and projects.”
