ATHENS, Ala. – Patrons who visit downtown Athens can now enjoy music EVERY Friday this Spring and Summer in Merchants Alley.
The new Athens Main Street Merchants Alley Happy Hour Music Series will take place every Friday night, April 1 to July 29, 2022, in the newly renovated alleyway on Jefferson Street from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This will give patrons a great start to their weekend. Each Friday, there will be a new performer – allowing for a variety of musical acts.

• April 29, 2022 – Silver Silos

• May 20, 2022 – Drew Clemons
• May 27, 2022 – Redstone Avenue
• June 3, 2022 – Drew Carter & Jay Sims
• June 10, 2022 – Limestoners

• June 24, 2022 – Clay Jones Band
• July 1, 2022 – The Cold Turkeys

Patrons are encouraged to come early and shop at local merchants and grab a drink in an Entertainment District cup to enjoy while you listen to great local music at any of these downtown establishments, Athens Alehouse & Cellar, Limestone Legends Billiards, Village Pizza, Lucia’s Cocina Mexicana, Terranova’s Italian, Mozza’s Pizza, or Wildwood Deli.
Event Chair Jen Baxter encourages all patrons to come enjoy the live music.
“Throughout these months, we will have such a wide range of talented musicians,” Baxter said. “I encourage all patrons to support these great local musicians and enjoy downtown Athens.”
