Limestone County and the City of Athens are participating in the State of Alabama’s 19th annual back-to-school tax holiday, which begins Friday, July 19, 2024, at 12:01 a.m. and ends Sunday, July 21, 2024, at midnight.

This event allows shoppers to purchase certain school supplies, computers, and clothing without state and local sales tax.
